Hayley Kiyoko Cancels North American Tour
Two weeks away and Hayley Kiyoko announced on her social media that her upcoming North American tour is now cancelled.
In her statement, Kiyoko thanked the fans for the endless support and for being part of a beautiful community. She then broke the news by stating that she had upsetting information.
“The timing for the tour didn’t go the way we had hoped and due to a lot of factors not aligning for the year ahead, I am forced to make the extremely difficult decision to cancel my upcoming North American tour.”
Kiyoko wrote on her social media – Instagram and Twitter.
Kiyoko continued by saying she had never cancelled a show date before and thought this to be one of the hardest decisions she’s made. She apologized and expressed her devastation and heartbreak. Kiyoko was able to spin the upsetting news to something more positive by focusing on the future.
She wrote that this is not a break nor time off. She assured her fans that the time will be devoted to completing her album and giving them the absolute best.
The tour was to set to start on Jan. 29. in San Diego and wrap up March 13. at Hollywood Palladium. The 26-date tour is refundable for all tickets and VIP packages.
