After years of patiently waiting, listeners of REZZ and deadmau5 are painfully close to tasting the electronic delicacy that will surely come with their impending collaboration. The term, “Rezzmau5” first graced the internet several years ago, and now, in 2021, we are seeing it again. Finally!
Each artist in this powerful duo took to Twitter with teaser videos– clips of their progress in the studio. As of now, it is still unclear whether these sneak peeks include actual snippets from the impending release, or just another step in their creative process. Either way, the videos allow a glimpse into this legendary collab. An exhilarating combination of dark and hypnotic, the preview perks up my ears and sends a low, wobbling rumble through my poorly insulated bedroom.
We don’t have a ton of information yet, as the release date and project title remain unknown. However, REZZ did make sure to confirm the project for her Twitter followers, saying:
“Deadmau5 and I WILL have a song finished. We WILL. ….. send me creative vibes right now because I plan to start something tonight and then haul my ass to his house and get it FINISHED”
And fans have even more to look forward to…
On the 13th, she posted a tweet that sent me into a several hours-long REZZ music marathon.
Look out, because we’re about plummet, swirly-eyes-first, into a black hole– an abyss– the throbbing, strobing, haunting world of another REZZ album.
