Fans Flood To Support Azealia Banks After Her Concerning Posts

Late Saturday night, Azealia Banks alarmed many with her cryptic series of post on Instagram.The initial post began with, “Yea, I think I’m done here. This pandemic, extreme lack of social interaction, no intimacy, combined with the constant public ridicule is making life harder than its worth. I think I will end my tenure here on earth soon.“
Banks continued and stated that she is not begging for attention nor asking for sympathy. “I’m just ready to go. Peacefully of course. I will document my last times and release a film for you all to finally understand me, from my perspective.“
She concluded her first series of posts with “I will try my best to finish the projects I promised I would beforehand. With whatever strength is left.“
Banks soon came back with an audio post and explained that a friend did stop by and do a welfare check on her. “I’m fine. I promise you I’m fine. I’m not scared.“
Banks stated that her decision had then been made and she will try her best to push through the next couple of months. She added, “I’m gonna, like, start looking for voluntary euthanasia options. Because, you know, I don’t have any more defense. I don’t.“
Banks ended her post asking not to be made fun of during these trying times.

These series of post caused an almost immediate reaction from fans. Azealia Banks trended Saturday night as many tweeted our their support and concern for Azealia Bank’s mental and emotional state.
Most reactions thus far have been calling for everyone to be considerate of black women’s mental health and to send Banks positive vibes.
Since then, Banks has expressed “needing to feel alive again” and that creating is her lifeline. Banks put out that she plans to “re-write, re-preform, remix,” and release music to streaming platforms by the end of the week.
Although Banks has not addressed her previous posts, we hope she finds the help she needs and continues to get the love and support she is currently receiving.
