Roddy Ricch Comes up Big at BET Awards
On Sunday night, Roddy Ricch got some well-deserved recognition at the BET Awards. He won Album of the Year for his project Please Excuse Me For Being Antisocial. The BET Awards is the annual Black Entertainment Television music award show. Every year people look forward to the performances at the show and seeing their favorite celebrities.
This year, the show had to make some special changes given the spread of Covid-19. The show was a dialogue of film sent in by artists, as well as some modified performances like the powerful one delivered by Roddy Ricch and Da Baby that directly touches on police brutality.
It was a big night for Roddy Ricch who contributed three performances to the show. He took away the Album Of The Year award which was well deserved given the success he has had this year. The album’s hit song, “The Box,” is a 4x Platinum record and responsible for over 6 billion views. The next step for Roddy is the Grammy Awards.
Roddy’s making a reputation in the music industry as a hitmaker. I see a very big future for him in music and he’s already positioned himself near the top so expectations are rising with his popularity.
Good for Roddy Rich! I wish him all of the success that he is sure to have.
As usual, thank you Mr. Hendrix for putting me on. Haha, I will have to check out his performance when I get the time.
