Neck Deep Surprise Fans With New Single “Fall”
To prepare for the release of their fourth album, All Distortions are Intentional, Neck Deep released another single called “Fall.”
With a mixture of their original pop-punk sound and a more mellow and melodic sound, fans can really get an idea of how much their sound has evolved since their formation in 2012. The beginning of the song opens with an upbeat instrumental section before lead singer Ben Barlow’s voice pulls listeners in.
“This city’s beating. This city’s beating like a drum. Oh can you feel it?”
Where the song really picks up is the chorus. The intense drum work from drummer Dani Abasi mixed with the gripping voice of Ben Barlow allows fans to get a deeper look into the songwriting talents of Neck Deep.
“Damn it feels so good to. Fall into the night, the night. Fall into the light, the light. You might find the real you. I can’t find the need to. Fall into the night.”
This upcoming album is the first album including Seb Barlow, the new bassist who has helped the band record in the past. “Fall” and other singles from the album so far have shown fans a different side of Seb, allowing them to hear him in the band as opposed to behind the scenes.
With the release of the single, a music video was also released. The video is a compilation of people skateboarding and clips of Neck Deep from over the years, including some live shots and other shots of them.
