A Big Day in Hip-Hop
This past Friday was a big day in music. Rappers Future, Polo G, and Moneybagg Yo all released new music on Friday. MoneyBagg Yo released a deluxe version of his album, “Time Served.”
Polo G’s The Goat
New Chicago artist, Polo G, released his second studio album entitled “The Goat.” The 21-year-old rapper became famous from his hit song “Pop Out” with Lil’ Tjay off his first album, Die a Legend, which hit #11 on the Billboard charts. He grew up in the projects of Chicago and had a first hand experience with the street life that comes with the area.
Polo G represents a second generation of Chicago hip-hop coming in the shadow of artists like King Louie, Lil Durk, Chief Keef, and G Herbo. His new album does an excellent job of bringing his talents to the forefront and judging by the title he obviously wants his recognition.
Future
Future continued his amazing run of project releases by adding his most recent album “High Off Life.” The album is very good but, the story came 30 minutes after its release when Future tweeted that it had already gone gold. This is noteworthy given that he has gone at least gold on every album he has released.
I believe we are witnessing Future become a hip-hop superstar like nothing we’ve ever seen before.
I gotta check that Future album. Haha, you have convinced me. Future sure do have hits, but he’s one of those artist that I never really took the time to check out his catalog. I usually here a song here and there from someone else’s library. As far as Moneybagg Yo and Polo G; those albums are great pieces of work! Instant classics.
