Earlier this week, the Wrexham based pop-punk band Neck Deep released a new single, “When You Know,” which will be on their fourth album coming out this July. The song opens with Ben Barlow’s hypnotizing voice,
“Sunshine, we don’t belong here
We got no flowers to grow
But if feels so good when you want me baby
Yeah it feels so good when you know.”
These heartwarming lyrics reflect the feeling of knowing you’re loved and wanted. It’s not only comforting to listeners but, a powerful opening to the song.
The song then flows into
“Make peace with your demons
And hope that they leave you alone
And make peace with your feelings
Admit there’s a reason you’re not letting go”
Another set of comforting lyrics that makes fans think but, also feel understood.
This song is full of lyrics that will make listeners feel loved, cared for, and even a good song to listen to when you’re ready to make peace and move on from something that happened.
The band was set to film a music video for the single but due to COVID-19, they couldn’t. However, that didn’t stop the band from getting a video out for it. They asked fans to write the lyrics out on pieces of paper and hold them up. From this, the band made a music video with a bunch of fans (as well as the band members) in a creative way to battle this not so great scenario.
