A$AP Rocky Found Guilty of Assault
On Wednesday, rapper A$AP Rocky was found guilty by a Swedish judge after being accused of beating 19-year-old Mustafa Jafari on June 30 in Stockholm, Sweden.
Various videos show the incident that took place outside a fast-food restaurant. Some argue that A$AP and his crew were trying to walk away from the situation while others believe A$AP was being violent with the 19-year-old.
This incident led A$AP to get arrested for several weeks after. The arrest gained the attention of a lot of people including President Trump, who with no surprise, resorted to Twitter to support the American rapper.
A$AP was released from jail on August 2 and returned to the United States; he was not required to be present for the verdict.
Lucky enough, A$AP and his team were able to avoid prison sentences. Instead, they were given a suspended sentence and were ordered to pay about $1,300, 12,500 Swedish krona, in compensation.
After the verdict, A$AP responded on Instagram saying “I am of course disappointed by today’s verdict” and went on to thank the people that supported him.
