Electric Forest 2017 Weekend 1 SOLD OUT!
Every year as Electric Forest grows, we see record sell out times. Despite expanding to 2 weekends, effectively allowing for almost double the amount of attendees, the 4-day music festival located on the Double JJ Ranch in Rothbury, Michigan, has managed to sell out General Admission wristbands for the first weekend merely 7 weeks after the first tickets went on sale.
In comparison, in 2016 Electric Forest sold out only 2 weeks after going on sale.
Didn’t get a ticket, or want to change weekends?
HQ doesn’t want to leave you hanging. There are still non-GA tickets available, such as Northern Lights Lane and Electric Avenue camping. However if you wish to switch weekends to be with friends who were unable to get tickets, Electric Forest will soon be releasing a ticket exchange, allowing you to swap weekends with another attendee or sell your existing ticket.
Currently this exchange has not been released yet, so keep your eye on the Electric Forest social media and this page: https://www.electricforestfestival.com/tickets/exchange/
Don’t want to bother with the wristband exchange?
If you want to buy an official ticket directly from Electric Forests website, you may still have a chance. It is very common for festivals to release a batch of tickets closer to the festival. They do this because people inevitably can no longer make payments on their payment plan, or tickets reserved for artists and workers go unclaimed. This results in a handful of tickets being randomly released without warning.
The only way to purchase these tickets would be to either diligently watch the ticketing page, or keep an eye on social media where you might get lucky enough to see a post from a friend alerting that some tickets came on sale.
Otherwise, just stick to the official wristband exchange or buy from a friend or reseller.
See you in the Forest!
